SALT CAVE WELLNESS GUIDE. As a Wellness Guide at Salt Cave of Darien, you'll be instrumental in providing our guests with a rejuvenating and serene experience. Your responsibilities will include:
• Welcoming guests warmly and guiding them through their salt cave sessions (assistance on next steps for clients, offering tea or water).
• Supporting and educating guests to experience a higher level of service, obtaining answers to their questions and to the benefits of halotherapy and the healing properties of salt through phone calls, emails, texts and in person.
• Ensuring that the cave and/or private room is properly set up according to the requirements for each scheduled service prior to the appointment (i.e. moving chairs, massage tables or foldable tables/chairs) and resetting cave after sessions with proper setup, folding blankets, wiping down chairs, cleaning the generator.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our salt cave facility (sweeping, wiping down of shelves, garbage removal, bathroom maintenance, boxes/garbage/recycling taken out at the end of the day).
• Booking appointments using Acuity scheduling system on an iPad and/or computer.
• Handling and selling retail products or services and processing with Square on an iPad.
• Assisting guests with any inquiries and providing exceptional customer service through phone calls, emails, texts and in person. Checking emails throughout the day, responding to time sensitive emails as soon as possible and others within end of business day, prioritizing them and working with Owner to respond to requests for donations or special events/services.
• Unpacking retail and supply boxes add to retail display or shelf in storage areas.
• Collaborating with our team to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience at front desk is required.
• Sales in customer service or spa hospitality are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using a computer and scheduling/processing programs.
• Upbeat and energetic individual who can multi-task.
• Able to physically stand, lift, and carry tables, massage tables and/or chairs.
• Ability to work effectively in an independent environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized space.
• A genuine passion for holistic wellness and helping others.
Salary: TBD, hourly
MASSAGE THERAPIST:
Our unique spa is looking for a CT licensed massage therapist to join our team part-time, on call or for a block of time. Must have weekend availability and open to weekday and weeknights. Experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required and highly preferred for knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities (reflexology, hot stone, pre-natal, Reiki). Liability insurance is also required. We are a small, holistic health spa with flexible hours, friendly staff and great perks.
