ASSISSTANT TO SALT CAVE STAFF. ONE POSITION AVAILABLE: One physical in-person day on Saturdays (mandatory) and 1-2 days physical in-person or virtual work (flexible). Hours, days and type of work to be discussed.
As an Assistant to the staff at the Salt Cave of Darien, you'll be instrumental in providing our guests with a rejuvenating and serene experience. Your responsibilities will include:
• Welcoming guests warmly and guiding them through their salt cave sessions (assistance on next steps for clients, offering tea or water).
•Ensuring that the cave and/or private room is properly set up according to the requirements for each scheduled service prior to the appointment (i.e. moving chairs, massage tables or foldable tables/chairs).
• Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our salt cave facility (sweeping, wiping down of shelves, garbage removal, bathroom maintenance, boxes/garbage/recycling taken out at the end of the day).
• Unpacking retail and supply boxes to add to retail display or shelf in storage areas.
• Collaborating with our team to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
• Preparation and organization of spreadsheets; telephone calls or emails to staff, customers or prospective parties working directly with owner.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using a computer and organizing/creating spreadsheets.
• Upbeat and energetic individual who can multi-task.
• Able to physically stand, lift, and carry tables, massage tables and/or chairs.
Salary: TBD, hourly
MASSAGE THERAPIST:
Our unique spa is looking for a CT licensed massage therapist to join our team part-time, on call or for a block of time. Must have weekend availability and open to weekday and weeknights. Experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required and highly preferred for knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities (reflexology, hot stone, pre-natal, Reiki). Liability insurance is also required. We are a small, holistic health spa with flexible hours, friendly staff and great perks.
