FAQs

What happens in the Salt Cave during a regular session?

You rest and relax in our anti-gravity chairs.  A generator disperses micro-particles of anti-inflammatory salt and calming music plays while you breathe it in normally.  You also get chromotherapy from the beautiful pink, orange and reds hues of the salt, which gives a calming effect.

Regular sessions are 45 mins.

What is the room temperature inside the Salt Cave?

The temperature inside the cave is a comfortable 68-70 degrees.  However, similar to when you sleep, when you are resting and relaxing, your body temperature can drop and get cooler.  We recommend bringing a  sweater or a blanket, just in case.

What should I wear?

Please wear white socks in your session
(since you walk on salt, dyes can contaminate the salt).

We suggest whatever makes you comfortable and prepared for cooler temperatures.  You do not leave covered in salt so you can continue to wear the same clothes.

How do I get the most out of my visit?

Please arrive at least ten minutes before your scheduled session so that you can get settled and not be rushed.  We may not be able to honor late arrivals depending on the session.

We have secure lockers for your cellphones and personal belongings.

Allow yourself to relax into the experience; you may want to meditate, focus on your breathing, etc. Many people relax into sleep.

Benefits and Videos

Salt caves have existed for decades in Europe. A Polish doctor first noted that the workers in a salt mine did not have respiratory or lung problems due to the stable air temperature, low humidity, and because the mines lacked airborne pollutants. A spa was opened based on these findings to help people with respiratory ailments and skin conditions. The largest and oldest salt works in Europe, known as Wieliczka, Poland, outside of Krakow, also carved a hospital out of the immense salt mountain, seven hundred and forty feet below the surface, specifically for asthmatics and patients with lung disease and allergies. Entry into the clinic is by doctor referral only and it is recognized as an alternative medicine that is helping people. People have traveled from all over the world to experience the healing powers of natural crystal salt.

The beautiful color of the Himalayan salt is soothing and relaxing ambiance through color therapy - also known as chromotherapy. Chromotherapy has much scientific evidence showing its benefit with relaxation, stress, sleep and more. The pharmaceutical grade salt that is emitted into the air contains 84 mineral and nutrient properties, it has great proponents like being anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. This salt is exceptional at drawing out metabolic toxins from within our cells and to purge out toxic metals and impurities. Mucus is loosened up and thickness decreased that exists in the respiratory system which are then expelled naturally. This is how it boosts immunity. Besides enjoying an overall sense of well being and rejuvenation, some people with respiratory conditions and skin ailments can find relief over time.

Now people in the United States can benefit with the invention of the halo generator which models the healing effects of the salt caves by using pharmaceutical salt. The halo generator emits the medical grade salt into the cave for inhalation. The popularity of salt caves has grown stronger in the United States in the past five years and its positive benefits have been highlighted in the press.

A lovely poem by ChatGPT -
even AI knows how great it is!

The air is pure and still,
Crystalline walls glow in soft light,

The salty mist works its magic chill,
as worries fade and tensions take flight.

Lie back and close your eyes,
let the salt-infused air embrace,
Breathe deep and let out sighs,
as stress and anxiety leave no trace.

The soothing sound of silence,
echoes in the tranquil cave,

A perfect place for stillness,
and for the soul to be brave.

Let the salt cave work its wonders,
as it heals the body and mind,
A place of rest and surrender,
leave your troubles behind.

So come, seeker of relaxation,
enter the salt cave and let go,
Find inner peace and inspiration,
in this haven of serenity and flow..
